wrong....half-wrong...although morality may be the wrong word...
Yes, we are meant to identify---w self-disgust---with HH...as with
Highsmith's characters...
BUT he does have HH understand near the end that he stole her childhood and
of course, he gets a fitting punishment...although his own
self--judgment is wonderful
