I think I had read this and it is superb reporting, imho. Thanks for sending.
Yes, It is pieces like this that reinforced my knowledge of Obama's
ways of 'not intervening" or
"leading from behind" and NOT INSERTING ourself (our country, the US)
everywhere, in fact
almost nowhere.....
A major foreign policy shift...for the US.
This piece may show sorta why Obama spoke of Assad's expected removal
(by the Arab Spring uprising forces as
i mother counters) but, surely even they did not believe Assad would
start shooting and bombing crowds of
peaceful protesters....soon pure barrel-bombing of his own citizens
wherever they gathered or were suspected of being
anti.....
