Shadow/soul/identity: In Derek Walcott's "Omeros", while on a boat near
the equator, one of the protagonists suffers from a sunstroke when the
sun reaches its zenith. His shadow then detaches itself from the body of
the unconscious fisherman and travels back to the country of his
ancestors, Africa.
