What is the connection you ask

between this weekend---to Tuesday---'s Superbowl of a Book,
Harper Lee's second published novel GO TELL A WATCHMAN
and Our Famous Author, TRPynchon?

Seems Tay Hohoff, the woman who asked for more revisions to
this "new"/old novel and who suggested to Ms. Lee that she try to
tell (more of) the story from the POV of young Scout....

was somehow, in some way, TRP's "editor' at Lippincott when it
published V. and The Cying of Lot 49. Charles Shield's book
on Ms. Lee sez that on page 115.

Anyone know more? Or less?..(always thought it was Corlies Smith
who brought him in and had him published and his 'editor' was
his agent and Faith Sale.)

Charles Shields was on W.A.S.T.E for awhile back when he was writing
his next book, the one on Vonnegut. He asked us Vonnegut questions,
some might recall.
