Shakti, Shiva's male counterpart, his equal  in ancient Hinduism. Shakti is
the active/mover inCreation.   The ultimate Feminist, About 6000 years old.
Shiva, male, is the "unmaniifest"  the quiet void upon which Shakti dances.
Her field of action.

Kali:  sky-clad (naked) female goddess gone berserk in a war frenzy, starts
killing her own troops. To halt that friendly fire her male mate, Shiva,
prostrated himself for her slaughter, to calm her wrath.  Thus her image of
black-blue skinned wrath clothed in the body parts of her vanquished. But
she is the "Ma" Too. Mother, protector.

Fierce Female! But he is her field, her ground.  He is the void from which
she brings forth Creation.
