PARACULTURAL CALENDAR FOR JUNE 8

Roughly 800 AD, my ancestors stormed ashore to a rocky place on the
northwest shore of what is now North Cumbria. Nobody seemed interested in
taking it back. We're still there. It was easier for England to go around
us to build their empire than deal with a bunch of six foot red-haired
berserkers in their backyard that they didn't particularly want.

I have to make a point of checking in to Allonby at some point just to say
"Hey honey! I'm home!"
