Tibetan Buddhism teaches that we are all potential Buddhas, because we
are essentially pure and luminous at the most basic level of
existence. That purity, called Buddha-nature, is typically clouded
over by a dense layer of ignorance and negativity, which dominates us
and leads to suffering.

Buddhahood is defined as a state free of the obstructions to
liberation as well as those to omniscience.[8] When one is freed from
all mental obscurations,[9] one is said to attain a state of
continuous bliss mixed with a simultaneous cognition of emptiness,[10]
the true nature of reality.[11] In this state, all limitations on
one's ability to help other living beings are removed.[12]

I offer "Karmic Adjustment", just a joke but is it 'just"

The Bodhisatva-like action of the Chums BEFORE they enter the world of
family and history between the wars....

That seal on ATD.

The Eastern thought mentions in M &D also reminding me of
back-to-the-land American HD Thoreau's words on Eastern thought and
traditions in THAT landlocked book....

Despite a 'religious' sensibility, all seem to feel, he eviscerates
just about all Western religious traditions and beliefs all over his
oeuvre...i would argue...
