Spinning Wheels: Not Pynchon but Chandler w lots of perspective on Doc maybe

A lot of perspective on the essential structure of all of Ps novels.....the
idea of "synthetic" as opposed to "analytical" and "historical
narrative".....Doesn't hurt that the nominal subject is Chandler. Like
fucking catnip.

Can anyone provide the details of the critical piece about Lot 49 which
generated so much enthusiasm years ago. I believe the author is French.

Gonna pass this around like Kyle's mom. Thanks.
