Cheese knives rather than carving knives please

I'm entering virgin territory, having never previously led a group read, so
I hope you'll be patient if we occasionally find ourselves in a French
battoe rather than an Indian canoe.

If anybody's got suggestions or concerns as to my overall approach, please
let me know how you think my leg of the group read could improve. I'm
entirely prepared to pale into comparison to Laura, Becky, Elisabeth, the
Marks and all my other predecessors, so don't be afraid to make
recommendations.
