Inherent Vice deleted scene

Interesting that the published screenplay seems to be an early (?) version
of what Anderson said he started doing, simply writing out the novel as a
script. One wonders how much of the final version of the film-as-adaptation
emerged late, post-production, only at the editing stage. Is there a 4-hour
director's cut waiting for us down the line .
