When I saw that this is also about ED,
I searched for Bloom & Dickinson and came up with the following:
http://www.academia.edu/7689880/How_to_write_about_Emily_Dickinson_Harold_Bloom_
There's a sentence in this I especially like:
"She is very difficult to write about (or read deeply, or teach well)
because she is vastly more intelligent than her critics (myself included)."

Each that we lose takes part of us;
A crescent still abides,
Which like the moon, some turbid night,
Is summoned by the tides.
