It's an accurate tone in which to review the film. It's not at all
Pynchonesque but it's a bona fide masterpiece. It's also proudly,
profoundly (if slightly problematically) feminist. People are already
talking about how we live in a 'post-Furiosa' world since its release,
and that its success means that blockbuster action filmmakers
pandering to a frat boy audience will have to own that doing this is
an ethical decision rather than a financial one, and I very much
agree.
Also it's utterly and hilariously Australian.
