Speaking of Poland, I'm curious if Pynchon read something about polish
resistance while he was working on AtD.
Country occupied by 3 empires, tzar killed by Hryniewiecki, only in year
1906 there were 1245 "terrorist attacks" (assassinations and bombings) in
Russian occupation zone, stuff like that.
