Dear Dave,

The p-list has lost its most enduring, guiding light. Jill Adams and I were lucky enough to spend a few hours walking through Central Park with you, some years back. I'm so glad I got to meet you in person, however brief. Rest in peace, Dave. Your spirit, metaphysical or metaphorical, will grace the list forever.
