I think this is the one
http://www.theguardian.com/books/2015/nov/20/bookshops-launch-civilised-saturday-as-antidote-to-black-friday

I just think it's funnee. I do cringe every year when news covers the
barbaric hordes of shoppers as Black Friday makes its way across the pond
and starts taking over Europe, but this "antidote" is doing the same thing,
but with books, and gracefully gliding instead of running. It's a different
degrees of evil type situation imo. But I guess selling more books in
not-Amazon stores can't be a bad thing overall. I dunno, it's definitely
not an antidote though.
