I remember reading Eyes Wide Open by Frederic Raphael years ago and
being really disappointed. Raphael worked with Kubrick writing Eyes
Wide Shut, which also severely underwhelmed me although it's grown a
little in my estimation since. The memoir seemed like it was written
for a ten-year-old though. Very artless. (Not that books for
ten-year-olds can't be very artful.)
