Well now... these are some pretty pedestrian choices, if I do say so.

Why Greg Egan (autistic mathematical supergenius who is also one hell of a
storyteller) and Jack Womack (searingly potent satirist and wickedly witty
genre stylist) aren't held in higher esteem, I'll never know.

Everyone should read Diaspora and Random Acts of Senseless Violence.
