I was watching the Paperclip talk when I saw that Jacobsen had
something more recent about DARPA (pushing her new book I suppose -
part of the game), in fact it's from last month.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eS17F7nuTM
In the first 10 minutes she mentions that the JASON scientists (who
apparently got defunded by DARPA in 2002 when they wouldn't let DARPA
appoint members) seem to be getting pushed out of their advisory role
to the Pentagon only to be replaced by the Defense SCience Board. So?
Well the thing is is that JASON, who are mostly academics, is against
Autonomous weapons tech. and the DSB, who are defense contractors, are
not.
Don't have time to watch it all now but it looks good. I reckon her
research is solid or soemone would be calling her out, don't ya think?
