I'm not sure which one you are referring to, but yes, it is defined. In
any case, OED offers two definitions, "Covered with shingles or wooden
tiles" or "Consisting of or covered with small stones". The published
translation went with the second one, which I felt made no sense. So i
asked just to be sure.
