Does P ever cameo in your dreams?

Obscurely, in mine. Mid-script I finally got to use a three-year-old
dream. It was one of those mind's-eye close-ups, the silent adoration of
an imaginary object.

Cut & pasted for your genial indifference, the object:

"Shrugging Zophiel closed & turned the hardback on its face, its spine
facing away from Nima. Not quick enough to escape her notice. The cover
had a photograph of what appeared to be Italian rowhouses in violet &
green-- naturally --as well as peach & teal. Leaning across the row,
drooling fresh paint, a garish, jittery caricature of Mickey Mouse, frozen
in mid-wave. Left of Mickey, the title & author: *The Imperatores*, by
Thomas Pynchon."

Using it b/c the plot calls for a nonexistent novel. This seemed to suit.
Will certainly be fun to design & illustrate, though god knows choosing a
font will lead to many a sleepless night...
