Did Thomas Pynchon publish a novel under the pseudonym Adrian Jones Pearson?

I do not believe he has or did do it either.
THAT said, here are reasons why he might: a guy who sent Prof Irwin Corey to accept his Nat Book Award prize LOVES a great joke. ...writers from JC Oates; Doris Lessing, Nobelist; Gore Vidal, J. C. Rowling, Romain Gary ( who once insulted Pynchon who got him back), twice Prix Goncourt winner ( when you can only win once unless you totally fake a new identity) , is so interesting in his pseudonyms ( including his " real name" Romain Gary) that a long essay --or a couple-three---Musta been written about it...the overwhelming reason these writers give is they feel " caged" [Lessing] , caught in preconceptions by the public [JCOates], buried in a false world of success [Gary], and/or as Ms. Oates has written " after a certain age, we might crave anonymity as much as we crave identity."
AND, I will add very dicily, which I bet gets no traction here ( which is fine, I feel in some anonymous realm of pure half-stupid speculation to carry that anonymous theme ) in Pynchon's case, his lifelong dissing of charisma--you know the quotes--and his becoming a kind of " cult" writer (however unwanted) and one who has a hard time being read innocently again...
Might just.
