NP -- Manhattan Recommendations ?

Hey, Folks -- 

This time next week I'll be in Manhattan for a few days while attending a conference. It's been 13 years since I visited and I'm really looking forward to going back.

If you've got a spare moment, I'd appreciate recs from fellow listers on just about anything to do and see, but especially the following:

• good book stores (aside from The Strand)
• food / drink
• good blues / jazz
• anything P-related (that isn't an obvious reference from the books)

Please respond off-list, unless you think the group would benefit.
