They've also just about missed the sensational Hou Hsiao-Hsien
retrospective at the BFI. If they like modern art then the Frieze art
fair is coming up soon, although in my experience that does attract a lot
of slightly vacuous scenesters.

Not that it's particularly current, but if we get a spell of good October
weather then I'd recommend a trip to Kenwood, which combines great works of
art, wonderful scenery and a prime example of an English stately home -
it's free of admission charge as well.
