There's this British conspiracy mini-series that ran on Channel 4 in
the UK called UTOPIA. Personally, I think it's the best thing to hit
TV screens this side of BLACK MIRROR. It's dark, terrifying, funny,
brutal, intense, offensive, controversy-courting, convoluted,
intelligent, beautifully shot, and most of all, it's morally
challenging.

For instance, it invites us to consider the ethics of culling the
human herd (or pruning the human shrub?) in order to improve both the
quality of life for those left behind AND to save the biosphere from
what amounts to the metastasization of our single tumor-like
species/culture. How far should we be willing to curtail our impact on
the planet, here smack dab in the middle of the Anthropocene era?
