Btw, it sems that the Erhard Mossack, father of Jürgen 
Mossack, of Mossack Fanseca fame, was among the elect of 
Operation Overcast, related to Paperclip. According to 
newspaper reports, the elder Mossack was an officer of the 
SS during the war. Once in Panama, he probably worked for 
the BND (who does not provide information about the man 
due to, you guessed it, reasons of national security), and 
offered his services to the CIA. FWIW, the name "Erhard 
Mossack" turns up on this list of Paperclip and Overcast 
participants:
