Oh, that's so retro! With only ~15,000 nuclear weapons out there, we're SO
much safer than we were with 50,000+ thirty years ago. Statesmen and
governments are SO much wiser and more prudent than they were in 1914 or
1939 or 1962. If it were still possible to wipe out a billion lives and
much of civilization in an afternoon... if the collective insanity
diagnosed in GR hadn't gone away... don't you think people would be paying
more attention?
