Pynchon and the Other

Hi all,

I've only recently joined the P-list, but I thought you all might be able
to help point me in the right direction.

I'm currently working on a thesis of sorts about how Pynchon addresses
issues of alterity and suppression in *Gravity's Rainbow*. I'm particularly
interested in how his fragmentary style and use of free indirect discourse
affects the reader's experience of the Other, and how *GR*'s
multi-voicedness perhaps even challenges the whole notion of an Other.

I'm reaching the end of my primary readings and would like to delve into
some secondary stuff. I've read David Cowart's *Thomas Pynchon and the Dark
Passages of History* (which I thought was great), but wanted to see if
anyone on the P-list had recommendations for some solid articles that
address this sort of issue (in *GR* or elsewhere).

Thanks a bunch.

Jade
