Looking for quote source

Dear all,

I have made note of a quote that I apparently attribute to Steven
Weisenburger but I can't find where I pulled it from. Can anybody help?

It runs: "[...] offsetting the gravity of a literature of ideas by the
levity available in popular genres [...]

Of course, it could be that I have misattributed the quote.
