p. 3 I suggest if you are aboard that you read the early
annotations of GR in the Pynchon wiki. I won't repeat
most of them here. Some are mine anyway.  Shows P's
incredible verbally-embodied richnesses of meaning.

He THINKS in erudition and perception made literal and metaphoric at once.
It is still astonishing and shows GR as a major leap forward
from The Crying of Lot 49. THAT novel is also metaphorically
"coded" but not like this. "It has happened before but not like this".
