Bowie for Me

Sad to say I was too entrenched in the British Blues to pay Bowie much mind
when he emerged. I never caught up with him I have to admit, although
during the "Let's Dance" period his Serious fans certainly helped keep my
record store afloat. I saw him live a couple of times and that didn't
improve my appreciation of his work.

I think I've enjoyed his music most through Seu Jorge's acoustic
adaptations with Portuguese vocals of Bowie tunes on "The Life Aquatic"
soundtrack. During the movie I lamented that I hadn't given those classic
songs enough attention in their day.
