Thank you for asking. I am here because of Dave Monroe, I signed on in Dec 2015. I stay because you all remind me of Dave, and the stuff you share interests me. The diversity of opinion, the good humor, and the long history of this community - these are what I like best so far.
I am re-reading Pynchon now because of Dave. He started me on CoL49, so that's where my re-read began. Deep into ATD, his fav, now. Saving GR for February and then the group read. Honestly, I'm just grieving here, trying to reconnect with Dave and with who we each were when I read these for the first time.
Count me in for a group read of the whole GR. I will gladly share my questions. I checked with the Dave fan club, 4 have expressed interest in the group read.
