NP but Spock & Dodos

I watched Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home last night, not my first time
watching it but ... after re-reading GR Spock has a fantastic quote,
granted it is newly resurrected from planet Genesis Spock, but the logic is
impeccable,

Spock: "To hunt a species to extinction is not logical."

if only Frans Van der Groov and the settlers of Mauritius made that
distinction whilst hunting and exterminating the Dodo...
