GR translation: and even closer to true north

Norwich would certainly be a more northerly bearing (from any site) than
London. Walcheren is south of the Netherlands site we see most of (near the
Hague), but Staveren (or Stavoren) is north of it. I don't know enough
about the distribution of all the other launching sites to be sure, but I
get the same impression you do: the ones picked out here wouldn't pull the
vector sum of 3000+ operational firings of the A4 north much, if at all.
(Most of the ~300 test launches *were* north-ish from Peenemunde over the
Baltic, but that doesn't seem enough either)

More broadly: as many USAans (and some UKers) forget because of parochial
pop history, Antwerp was hit more than all UK and other targets put
together. As it's south of almost all the Netherlands and much of northern
Germany, my gut tells me the vector sum would be so near W or even WSW
 that *nothing*could get it near 354, let alone 360.

You may have caught TRP in some fudging (conscious or unconscious) to link
the mathematical resultant to the symbolic North he works up for German
(and Herero) mythology. Or he may be showing us the Counterforce *fooling
themselves* to align data with pre-existing beliefs, the way ACHTUNG/White
Visitation (and most readers) fool themselves about Slothrop's map stars as
evidence for penile precognition.
