Thanks, Thomas. The sources are important. That is why I chase,down
the rabbit holes, every allusion. A Film or Television program, an
actor,a producer. I've found it very fruitful to look into the books
that were made into film or TV-film or show. Looking into the
political lives of film makers, for example, and how the governments
abused them is important. As in VL, the novel, BE, is very political,
some quite obvious enough and can be found in public papers on the
internet, at Wiki. What March and Ernie go on about is nothing we all
don't hear from the Left all day long, and though some still bristle
at the critique of the Left from the Leftist Pynchon, there it is,
obvious and, as you say, more an elbow to the ribs that serious or
scathing satire that is, of course reserved for the targets that are
down the rabbit holes.
