Joni Mitchell's handlers were/are notorious for refusing rights to her
lyrics or demanding YUGE amounts for them......
law for poets and songwriters makes much of the fact that a poem, a song,
lyrics have so few words usually, 'fair use'
to quote some of them hardly exists......one can quote a para or two from a
novel, small proportion but a few lines
from a small lyric--------infringement.
