Upon the high praise of more than one of you all, a while ago I purchased
"A Tale for the Time Being," and last week, being stuck in the purgatory of
jury duty, I read it for a few hours, amidst about 250 others stranded in a
very crowded room, all of us dreading duty's call. It didn't captivate
me. At times I left it for it's tedium, despite the tedium of sitting and
waiting and dreading the call of duty. Other tediums beckoned. Now, free
from that duty, I don't think I will return to it. So, who amongst you
blurbed me into buying this book?
