A book falls from the sky at the foot of an extremely intelligent late teen
boy. On its cover is "Death Note," with inside instructions that writing
the name while knowing the face of anyone on its pages will cause that
person's quick death. A trickster God of Death appears to help this teen in
its use.  Inflicting Death is addictive, it seems...

The new Netfix series is based on a much darker anime series of the name....
