Bannon brought up Evola in a talk he gave at the Vatican (again, wow).

Here's a primer on Evola, who is VERY popular among the current wave
of neoreactionaries and pseudo-intellectual right-wingers.
Ccounter-currents publishing pushes his works hard, for instance.

I used to monitor Counter-Currents.com, but had to stop, for health
reasons. I was driving myself batty. Also, three years ago I shopped
around a proposal to write a book about the rise of neo-reaction, but
every publisher I approached said it was a waste of time, that the
movement was too minor and obscure, too "online only", and that they
would never come to anything. I had a feeling they would be wrong.

I took no pleasure in being proven correct. I rarely do, it seems.
