Pynchon fandom

Hello,
I am the admin of wallace-l, the David Foster Wallace list. I am writing a
longer thing about the history of Pynchon fandom and would like to hear
from anyone who was a Pynchon fan in the 1960s or 70s (or knows a lot about
how those early groups of fans organized). How did you find other Pynchon
fans? Were you also a fan of SF or Vonnegut? Were you at a university?
