I came to the same conclusion looking at a bunch of these photos over time. Most of us have seen a lot of photos from war zones and they don’t look like this. The angles   and timing are always photogenic, the arrrangement of ‘rescuers’ almost always reaching up to a rubble strewn ledge where another rescuer is handing down the child who looks remarkably uninjured.  There are no crying mothers , not extraneous curious onlookers without helmets, but mostly good looking men with looks of warm concern. They sure as hell  do not look like any war photos or disaster rescue photos I have ever seen.
