I don’t get the titile Trial baloon for a coup?
The coup is over. It was simple: luck out with an unpopular and uncharismatic opposition candidate, win the Republican nomination, suppress the black vote, lie to the rust belt.
The question is how much power can be concentrated in how few hands. Cheney paved the way for this shit.
Bush and Obama both pushed this limit , but both were more popular. They also were restrained by a lack of majority in Congress. We have not seen this kind of widespread anger among the press and traditional liberals that I can recall. Even Vietnam did not create such solid resistance. It may allow the press to actually stand up aginst monstrous behavior as they failed to do with Bush, and the dude hates being an unpopular clown.
The part about 19.5% of Russia’s state Oil Company Rosneft being secretly sold( convincing sources would be good), combined with the Steele dossier allegation that Putin offered 20% to Trump is the only really substantive issue( if true) for a potential attempt by Intelligence agencies and military to take down Trump. It seems impossible that a transfer of money or ownership to Trump people could get past the NSA if they focused some sklled people there, though the status of the relation of the Trump reich to CIA and NSA is a big question at this point.
The refusal of Homeland Security to comply with court orders could be a big mistake for the Trump reich but unfortunately won’t lead to impeachment. The courts have been ignored by several administrations. Unless the Republican party unites against Trump with plans to get Pence in I see little chance. They would risk losing a large part of the most avid base of support they have if they did, though loyalty would transfer from the religious right to Pence.
Exorcism? The pope is working on it. We can all do our part. They say Demons hate mockery.
