NP: 2001/Clarke's Xanadu (Jerk must know about this)

Last night I introduced a loved one, surprisingly Kubrick-ignorant, to *The
Shining *for the first time. Today I am taking this person to see *2001 *for
the first time, in 70mm. The next best thing to being able to experience
these things for the first time has to be giving them to someone else.
