NP: Jodorowsky//Fando y Lis

Recently watched this movie, Jodo's first feature. Black and white. Fans of *El
Topo *or *Holy Mountain *will find a lot to love here. Another kind of
quest story. Lots of amazingly compelling sequences of impossible but
bone-true imagery paired with great sound design. Amazing for the budget
you have to imagine it doesn't have.  Another great example of an artist
using the condition of limited resources to expand rather than restrict
creativity.

There's a scene with a bunch of bodies emerging out of a field of mud that
became one of my favorite moments of movie as soon as I saw it.
