Interesting. Thank you!

As for non-fiction books on the subject of the Strategy of
Tension, I recommend:

Philip Willan, "Puppetmasters"
Franco Ferraresi, "Threats to Democracy"
Frédéric Laurent, "L'Orchestre Noir" (French, there has
been an update in Italian and an accompanying movie in
1997)
Jeffrey M. Bale, "The 'Black' Terrorist International:
Neo-Fascist Paramilitary Networks and the
'Strategy of Tension' in Italy, 1968-1974" (PhD thesis;
has the best take on "conspiracy theories" vs. "covert
operations" that I know).

There will soon be an updated version of Bale's PhD thesis
available:

https://www.routledge.com/The-Darkest-Sides-of-Politics-Vol-1-Postwar-Fascism-Covert-Operations/Bale/p/book/9781138785618#toc

Also, the BBC's "Gladio" series is indispensable watching
for anyone who wishes to learn more on the subject...
