One of Pynchon's deepest, most historically impressive THEMES,

That War is, in modern Western History, collusive acts of States at base,
is WONDERFULLY done in *Wonder Woman*, wonderfully and surprisingly done
imho. A--and with *spies*, another Pynchon thematic depth charge.

I can think of no huge pop culture movie--$100 mil and just
starting---which presents
this theme comparably. Maybe All Quiet on the Western Front implied it,
dunno,
as did Guernica, say? But not the same. Catch--22 the novel, but definitely
not
the movie, minor in any case.

The pace and timing seemed Goldilocks-right; the actors right, WW perfect.
Some good lines, offhand ones and thematically right on.

And about a third/quarter of the movie is a Brit comedy as deadpan funny as
the
favorite one you've watched on Masterpiece Theater!

And then there is FEMALE EMPOWERMENT!

What a good movie. IMO.
