GR translation: And Go-round Number Three. . . .

With Pynchon's great use of ambiguity and multiple meanings, I have ALSO heard a
Cold War allusion in these lines.  Given the arc of Gravity's Rainbow; given the way 
The Nazis and Japs are like all around, right there in our daily lives, like the fears of the Cold War
were. 

Most will probably think I am wrong here. But if it seems as possible as TRP incorporating a definition of Late Capitalism into a wonderful poetic passage; or hiding a 50's hand job early in V., this is TRP writing as seemingly offhand but as deeply dense as, O Shakespeare, then I've just defended it. 

Cannot even imagine translation difficulties IF...
