Wow, I wish I could be there! Sounds great! I'll be languishing in  NYC, where our beloved author will presumably be celebrating his birthday in private.

Dear all,

I'm organizing a birthday party on the occasion Pynchon's eightieth!

It's going to be at Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich, Switzerland, starting at  
7.30pm. On Monday, May 8th, of course.

There will be live interpretations of Pynchon's many songs and a DJ who  
plays music that is featured in his novels. There will also be readings  
and kazoos and bananas and salted peanuts.

It would be great to meet some of you there! Feel free to redistribute  
this, post it to your social media rolls, post it on other mailing lists,  
et cetera et cetera, and so forth as the King of Siam always sez.
