The equation is simple:

Racial Hate is morally worse than Economic Downtroddeness, in most minds,
but not if you are a Republican.  They hate the downtrodden, because they
are moral predators, establishing corruption.

Being poor is a sin in Republican world.  They eat sin like candy.
Republicans love sin.  Anything can become sin, if we let them go there.
