NP - It Was the Racism (not economics)

A few other things that put Trump over the top that don't fit the Mother
Jones' readership's worldview:

- Identity politics has gotten toxic
- Hillary was the most corrupt candidate in memorable history
- Hillary was the least compelling candidate in memorable history.
- Trump, love him or hate him, is charismatic and humorous, which probably
makes a way bigger difference than any poll can ever get to the heart of.

But yeah, easier to just say racism and stick with the same losing strategy
of blaming deplorables.
