M. Bryan,

It's hard to respond to your objection, because context is everything.
Alice's naïveté diving into that hole, along with countless horror victims
that make us cringe.  Stranger Things is playing many games, and it is more
episodic than continuous.  It changes stream frequently.  I could list my
objections with Season One's story arc, but why?  Embrace the short
attention span.  Consistency is what?
